One flaw in the Taste of Cherry 1997.
The movie shows him leaning towards not killing himself towards the end both by showing him literally implying to the old man he may not do it and by implying it with more lively scenes; so leaving it open ended is kinda unnecessary; and breaking the 4th wall to make the ending even more unimportant is at best an artistic choice but it might be a cop out.
It's still a 9 out of 10; but that bit seems a little like a forced disdain against happy endings; not all happy endings are hollywood slop.
