I live in Germany with a student residence permit (§16b AufenthG). I previously had a Fiktionsbescheinigung, which expired on 30.11.2025.
Because my Fintiba blocked account confirmation was delayed, I emailed the immigration office (Ausländerbehörde) all payment proofs and supporting evidence, and I later received a Fiktionswirkung certificate (temporary legal stay confirmation).

I now have a job contract as an electrician in building and electrical technology starting on 12.01.2026, long-term or permanent.

My foreign degree Master 2 Elektritechnik is already recognized by ZAB.

Can I change my residence permit to a skilled worker residence permit (§18a AufenthG)?
What requirements are usually needed in Germany for electrician jobs with a recognized foreign degree?
