Associate attorney taking billing credit.

Does anyone else have an attorney that takes credit billing for the task that you did? I have an associate attorney that does this all the time. Normally it doesnt bother me, but my attorney reviews his pre bills and noticed we both billed 2 hours contacting a register of deeds office. He came and asked me about it because he didn’t want to double charge the client. I informed him I contacted them and showed him the email confirmation I sent to the associate attorney stating that I contacted them. He asked me to double check the rest of the pre bills and I found multiple entries she billed for that I did. I went through the entries with the attorney and told him I can have our business office write off my entries. He said that wouldn’t be necessary and went in and talked to the associate about billing for tasks that I do. I’m glad he had my back in this moment, but I can tell now my associate is mad. All on a Monday after a holiday. 🙃
