T14g3 for 500$, worth it?

Hi guys, I have recently found out the renewed T14 Gen 3; i5-1245U; 16/512 (idk about battery capacity though, but it is from verified seller) for around C$625 with tax, which is ~500USD.

However I am unaware of current prices for used thinkpads, and would be very grateful if you could give advice on if it's good price or not.

Also is this cpu power hungry? I am planning to use it for university/work, which will include coding, but nothing too heavy, and would like it to hold for 4-5 hours of classes daily.
