Chapter 12 Query

So, I've been going about this a little weirdly so far. Please let me know which of these is better: As of right now, I go through the level, and when I have acquired a lot of Discovery, BEFORE I prestige, I spend my Discovery on the "generator generators." This is because I do not want to spend all of my Discovery on the generator generators, losing the boost to my production that I gain from the accumulated Discovery. Is that better, or should I spend what I have AFTER acquiring the Records upgrade, so that the generators can start being generated, by the generator generators? Which is better? Waiting 'til nearer the end of the time before prestiging, or just after acquiring the Records upgrade?
