Old tears shed again: Colisseum bug?

I am doing the part after the pillars of light, where I found the small shadow monster and opened the treasure boxes. It told me “what’s that?” And prompted me to interact with something, and there are no spots to interact with anything and there’s nothing else intractable in the room since I opened all the boxes with gems.

:( I know this is supposed to open a new quest too
