Effect on CIBIL upon closure of unused wrongly received Credit Card
I’m new to this credit card stuff, so please bear with my dumb decision. This is regarding a new wrongly issued credit card I received after speaking with an executive over a call.
The executive intentionally filed the application for a basic LTF card instead of the one I had requested to complete his target or something. I received the card, but I haven’t activated it yet. Also, the credit limit I got is just 20000💀 which is 2000% low as compared to my other cards.
LTF Card: RBL Bank Shoprite Card 🤡
I do not want this card in my portfolio, so I intend to dump it in bin.
Coming to my question: If I do not activate this card & close it by calling RBL Bank, will it affect my CIBIL score which is currently 796? Is there any alternate way to ensure that my score is not impacted?
