Parking tips for FSU Mens Basketball vs. UGA at Donald L. Tucker Civic Center (Tallahassee 12/02)
hey everyone, figured i'd share some parking advice for the fsu vs uga game on 12/02 at the tucker center since parking there can be a real headache, especially for a night game like this one. the 9:00 pm tip-off means you'll be dealing with rush hour *and* game traffic right before the game starts.
honestly the easiest way i've found to park for these games is using an app called Prked. you can rent someones private driveway or garage right next to the donald l. tucker civic center for the night. it's usually way cheaper than the official lots and you get a guaranteed spot waiting for you. this lets you completely skip the traffic chaos trying to get into the main lots right off pensacola street and you just take a short, easy walk over to the arena.
if you want to stick with the official options, you need to know a few things. the main lot right by the civic center is almost entirely reserved for dltcc suite holders, seminole boosters, and fsu athletics staff with passes . since you have club seats, you might be closer to a premium parking tier, but don't count on the main lot unless your ticket package explicitly includes a pass, which you'd need to have visible . there are a select number of spots for purchase on a first come, first served basis, but they go fast .
your best bet for general public parking is the st. augustine garage or state garage e . they charge $10 per vehicle for basketball games and they will accept booster passes in the state garages . be warned: a lot of the day-of gameday parking is cash only, so seriously bring a $10 bill or two to avoid a major problem when you get to the entrance .
traffic gets pretty backed up on pensacola street. they direct all the cars to flow from pensacola street to south copeland street for entry into the lots which creates a major bottleneck . you need to get there earlier than you think you need to - maybe an hour to an hour and a half before tip-off if you want a decent spot without sitting in a ton of traffic.
for anyone needing accessible parking, the primary location is the copeland street parking garage. they have a dial-a-ride bus that can take you right to the arena, and the bus is $5 cash only .
hope this helps you have a less stressful night getting into the club seats. go noles.
