How far apart do you space out torches and braziers?

I made a tree/mushroom farm at the quarry and would like it to be lit up. I'm aware there isn't any risk of burning the trees, but I'd rather not just spam torches. The internet hasn't been helpful either, it just talks about lightning rods or torches on fences.
