Deposition soon (today) for accident which i was parked and my car was totaled, then needed surgery.

Lawyer called earlier said the other party has said I was calling them an illegal immigrant (didn’t happen), that i wasn’t fully in the spot (there is footage and i was fully in the spot) and that my husband told me to say I don’t feel well even though I’m the one who called 911. Are these scare tactics?
