Help installing non steam game

I have eso through the eso website (not steam) and am trying to install the game via the installer following a video I found on youtube. https://youtu.be/zqXBwbofbDQ?si=xVRMb03Zj0yh8-ln

My issue is even though I’m following it exactly I just get a Host_ieVersionFail error every time. Tried different proton things but same result.

Does anyone know how to do this?
