Ring Sizing Question-Between Two Sizes

Hi All! I just purchased a Gen4 Ring Size 11, and I'm struggling to figure out if I have the wrong size. It fits pretty snug on my middle fingers during the day, is too tight on my index fingers most of the time and seems to feel too tight to wear to bed at night unless I wear it on my ring finger, where it feels too loose. If I switch to a size 12, I'm afraid it's going to be too loose during the day and either fall off or not read properly. Should I prioritize how it fits while sleeping or how it fits during the day? I keep switching fingers and I'm not sure if that's normal when first getting the ring, or if it should be loose enough where I don't notice it on my finger.
