Black screen when entering BIOS

Hi, I have a problem with my laptop.Whenever I try to enter BIOS, the screen flashes for a second (like it briefly turns off), and then I get a completely black screen. I also tried leaving the laptop turned on for a while to see if it would eventually boot, but nothing happened.
