3X8 PIN gpu

Hey ,

i just bought a 9070 XT to replace my old 2070 who only connected with a 1X8 cable. i check my box and i got 2 extra cable but both of them are 2X8

My question is do i use 1 1X8 + 1 2X8 or 1 1X8 + 2 2X8 but only connect 1X8 per cable. isn't risky to not connect both 8 pin ?
