How to play??

I installed the game yesterday and today I spent 5 hours in front of YouTube to understand a little how to play, I also saw a bit on Reddit but I don't understand most of the words for example I don't know what template means or other things like that that I read, I understood how to train troops and build factories, how to move armies and how to place a general but I didn't understand anything else. I can't understand how to attack and how to make an effective army, I'm Italy and I've just attacked Yugoslavia which eliminated half of my army, it's 1940 so war will break out in a little while and I'm not ready in the slightest also because I can't train armored troops because I have too few tanks and I'm totally out of fuel. Please give me a hand.
