Advice pls! Triple pavé earrings

General Question or Looking for Advice

I’ve been in the market for a pair of gold hoops for a while and narrowed my search down to:

  • small, huggie to 1 inch max
  • 9 carat gold (hardier for every day use)
  • lab diamond pave band (for sparkle)

Today I ended up in a jewellers that showed me what they called a ‘French Pavé’ which was essentially 3 rows of very small diamonds on the band. I ended up putting down a small refundable deposit after a quote of 1k, but now I’m having some doubts.

Does the triple pavé just mean duller jewels due to lower size and quality? Are the stones more likely to fall or get damaged? Is the gold more likely to break? They’re earrings so won’t be rubbing against other jewellery necessarily... So any experiences or views on triple rows of pavé would be really welcome! Good bad or ugly
