Grenades on Death

Maybe I havent noticed it happening maybe it does...

But, I'm pretty sure if I'm cooking a grenade and get killed the grenade doesn't blow up. Why?

The pin is pulled, the grenade is cooking... Does the pin magically go back in the grenade as im getting shot to death? Shouldn't be, the grenade should fall with your dead body and explode.

What are people's thoughts on this and why it isn't implemented?
