As The Days Grow Short & Grey
If anyone who reads this suffers from any kind of depression, whether seasonal, intermittant, or chronic, i want you to know you're not alone.
Human culture has taken a very sophisticated (look up original etymology) approach to topics such as depression and suicide. It wraps the effects of sin on our race in bubble wrap and chuckles memes in the corner of a padded room. But humor, demonization, avoidance, and denial are all useless in their attempts to address the problem.
What is useful?
Jesus died and rose for you. The man of sorrows lives to intercede.
Taking your own life doesn't fix anything. But Jesus laid His down to give eternal life to you.
However dark it gets, whatever memories you may have, whatever the voices say. Look up. Look up.
Jesus loves you.
