Comparing The New Apple Series With The Old DVDs

I started watching the first episode of the new series. It seemed like all of the videos had kind of cheesy looking captions showing the source of the material. I didn't think the old black and white video was very good. I was perplexed by the people that they were interviewing, as I didn't know who any of them were and was left wondering how old they were when the Beatles came out. (I will say that I am an old guy who watched them on Ed Sullivan) and I suppose that a lot of the people who they would talk to from the old days are probably deceased, I get that. Anyways I was pretty happy with my old DVDs. Anyone else have any complaints about the new series? Thanks
