Is it worth it?
I’m a 19 year old Egyptian student currently studying computer science in Egypt, and recently I got accepted into a few German universities that give conditional acceptances (with only B1 German) including TU Dortmund, Goethe Frankfurt Uni, Duisburg-Essen, And I’m wondering is the struggle going to be worth it at the end? My main goal is to not disappoint my family, Everything will be a completely new territory for me (language, people, place) not to mention the fact that I’ll be away from my family for a while. My main concern is the job market when it comes to CS -especially with the continuing uprising of AI and automation- is it all going to be worth it at the end? And if CS is not looking too good, Will engineering be a better choice? Since they’re both maths related fields and my main goal is to have a stable job to be able to support back my family. Please let me know your thoughts because I’m very uncertain and lost!
