Why do bilingual people not learn accents

Most bilingual people I know speak English perfectly but keep there native accent (this is fine with me as I love accents).

As a monolingual person, why put the effort in to learning the language just to not sound like a native???? Is pronunciation that hard???

Then again I love accents ♥️ so I let it side. I am very confused though.
