The Haunt: For A Single Player

I'm planning on running The Haunt for a single player character. The PC is 12 level, substantially above the adventure's recommended level of 4th level.

My question is how much modification do I need to do? I'm worried that even though the PC is a much higher level, being just a single character in the haunted mansion might be overwhelming.
