My Honest Thoughts After 3 Months With the Soulfire Portable Wood-Fired Sauna

Review

I have had the Soulfire wood-fired sauna for about three months now, and wanted to share my experience for anyone thinking about getting one.

The first thing I will say is it’s become a bit of a backyard highlight for us. We have had neighbours, friends, and family over, and everyone wants to try it. It’s turned into one of those things we actually brag about because it’s such a fun and unique experience to have at home.

In terms of heat, I can consistently reach around 65–70°C, which still feels amazing and is more than enough for a proper sweat session. The heat feels deep and natural, very similar to a traditional wood-fired sauna, and it’s been great for winding down after long days. But never been able to hit the 90°C may be simply come down to fire technique or log size

Setup has been straightforward, and packing it down is not hard either. Once you know where everything goes, it only takes a few minutes. Maintenance is simple too; just keep things clean and dry after each use.

One of the biggest benefits for me has been sleep and recovery. I always feel more relaxed afterwards, and it helps clear the mind before bed. It’s become part of my routine for switching off and getting ready for the next day.

After a few months of regular use, I can say it delivers a proper wood-fired sauna experience without needing a permanent structure, and it’s genuinely added something special to our home life. If anyone has questions about setup or how it’s been holding up, feel free to ask.
