Peroneal Issues
Background; 65yo male. 6’, 195 pounds. Last check up was in October. BP 110/69. Resting pulse 53bpm. All other lab test results were normal.
I have been experiencing moderate pain in my right foot for approximately one year. Here are the results from my recent MRI;
Impression:
- Moderate degenerative changes of the great toe MTP joint
- Mild tendinopathy of the flexure hallucis longus.
I am very active for my age. I work out 3 to 5 times per week. I begin each work out with a 10,000 meter row on the rowing machine, and after that I strength train 30 to 45 minutes on machines as well as planks and stretches.
Question; growing older, yes. But could the pain be from over-exertion? Rowing Machine is low impact & I don’t experience any pain while I am actually using the machine. The pain is always post exercise.
Thoughts from the professionals here on how to approach this?
Thanks in advance.
