Meus 132mm lcg chassis
I installed the meus lcg chassis on an old deadbolt, and I'm having some issues up front. There aren't any instructions or exploded veiws, so I went off of the pictures in the listing.
The upper front linkages are shown at 37mm total length, but I either got the wrong upper links or the picture is wrong. Getting the uppers to 37mm isn't possible; there would only be 1 or 2 threads if any in the rod ends. 32mm seemed right, so I tried that, but the short driveshaft falls apart, and the longer one is too long and prevents the suspension from compressing.
Has anyone assembled this chassis before using the included front linkages and one of the included driveshafts? What lengths did you end up setting them to in order to make it work? I'm using the gouprc brushless motor facing forward, and stock shocks/springs because my old 43mm carisma shocks, which were recommended years ago before the common aftermarket shocks everyone uses now were available, use bigger bolts, and I don't want to widen the holes in the chassis to use them. I was planning on getting 43mm double barrels later, but that would likely make the driveshaft issues worse.
I'm just getting a bit frustrated with this kit, and I'm on the verge of taking it all back apart and returning it.
