Thoughts on this religion?

“While Wizarding historians identify the first evidence of this small sect to the mid 14th century, the Holy Order of Druids claim ancient roots. They believe that their sect originated originates of their can be traced to Atlantis, and that their founders escaped the Doom by fleeing by ship to Britain.

The Holy Order of Druids venerate magic as divine, holding that the concepts of God, Magic, and Nature are closely related and almost synonymous. They believe that magic is found not just in spells but also in the natural world. The Druids also believe that the soul is immortal, and that upon death it passes through the Veil to the Otherworld, to rest and reunite with loved ones. After a time the soul will be overcome with a yearning for the flesh, eventually seeking rebirth.

The Holy Order of Druids believe Merlin to be their Chief Druid and Great Teacher, attributing him as the author of several of their most holy texts. They believe that in a past life Merlin was the High Priest of Atlantis, leading their order to escape the Doom. They also have a prophecy that Merlin will one day once again reincarnate into the world as a messianic figure who will usher in a new golden age of magical knowledge and of peace and harmony between Wizardkind and Muggles.”

While I believe the evidence of the series suggests that European wizards are majority Christian, I’m sure there would be several wizard oriented faiths as well. I think it is also best to have the truth claims of religion be ambiguous, wizards don’t know for sure which if any religion is the “true” one.
