Kay and Brenner

Sorry as I’m not super in depth researcher of the show like many of you, just a consumer who has enjoyed the show!

I can’t get over how much Dr Kay looks like Brenner.

Dr Kay seems to know what’s going up and down and acts much like Brenner - not scared, certain of a specific outcome, capable of capturing or keeping kids with powers under wraps. But she looks like the woman version of Brenner.

Is this intentional? How are they linked? By now they need to be linked somehow right? A major component of season 5 didn’t exist in the past 4 seasons, so I am cautiously optimistic there’s a cool link there. It could also be completely garbage, but I have to believe the Duffers knew what they were doing casting Linda Hamilton to look like Brenner.
