Is TXR worth it at full price?

Hey all!

I know this is a really subjective question. But I have a bad taste in my mouth after a friend told me "Car X Street" was awesome -- only to find it filled with AI slop and a horribly unfinished feel.

I primarily play Forza Horizon 5, love it, also played a good amount of NFS Unbound with the UNITE mod, love that too. I've been playing racing games a long time and enjoy all sorts of them, really.

But as far as bang for the buck goes, it's also something that's important to me. I got FH5 pretty deep on sale (half off) since I didn't have a gaming PC until the last year or so.

But anyway, money is a little tight right now. I usually wait for games to go on sale. I was hoping TXR was going to go on sale for Black Friday or Cyber Monday, but so far, no dice.

That said, is this game worth all of the hype it's received? Is there a good storyline, bunches of customizations, and a polished feel to the driving? Again, I know it's not a sim -- I appreciate arcade racers, too. But they have to still feel like time and effort was put into the driving experience.

Nothing bothers me more than the "car on ice" feeling some lower quality games have.
