Help me choose my first Home Assistant hardware

Hey everyone, I’m finally ready to add Home Assistant to my smart home, but I’m stuck choosing the right hardware.

My current setup: • Apple TV 4K (HomeKit hub + Thread router) • IKEA DIRIGERA hub (lights, sensors, plugs, buttons) • Aqara FP2 presence sensor • 56 m² apartment • 5 IKEA smart bulbs • 20 IKEA spot lights • Dreame X50 Ultra vacuum

Future plans: • Switching from IKEA lights to Philips Hue • Adding more Aqara or Thread sensors • Buying an air purifier/humidifier/diffuser (likely Thread/Matter capable) • Building advanced presence-based lighting and climate automations • Eventually replacing IKEA motion sensors + door sensors • Using Home Assistant as the main automation brain and build a cool dashboard UI

What I want from Home Assistant: • FULL FP2 zone support (my #1 reason) • Centralized automation logic • Good performance for 50–100 devices • Long-term reliability • Low maintenance • Local, fast automations • Integrates well with Apple Home because we have multiple Apple devices

I’m stuck between: • Home Assistant Green • Home Assistant Yellow • Raspberry Pi 5 + SSD • Intel N100 / mini PC

What’s the right option for someone like me? Is HA Green powerful enough for my system? Do I actually need Yellow or a mini PC?

Any advice from people with a similar Apple-heavy + FP2 / Hue / IKEA ecosystem would be appreciated!

Thanks 🙏
