I got bullied in the gym today, not fear but felt disappointed and sick of my physical size.

Abt myself, a 28-yo gay dude with below average physicque, even short, joinned a gym alone 4 months ago, really committed to it and reap some worthwhile result.

It was a perfect push day when I almost completed all of the workouts, just one left. When I've just set up, two guys from nowhere, one of them asked me to priotize them first, as if a "forced" when he suddenly adjusted the machine in front of me, I reluctantly moved aside and go somewhere and wait for em to finish.

5 mins later, they returned the machine, then I conducted 2 sets and rested 1 min for each set, I was supposed to finish 3 sets. It likely would took me 6 mins, but 5 mins later when I was resting, those guy suddenly came again, didn't ask me and set up for their new sets and did theirs as if I wasn't there.

I moved aside and was patient to wait until they finished. Then I ask him politely that I was almost in the last set but Why he didn't talk anything, ignored me? Suddenly, he became aggressive and pissed off, blamed me for resting too long (1 min) while he just took 30 secs and he didn't even rest for those sets. He started to lecture how is the decent manner in a gym, critized my workout, my attitude. He threaten to beat me up several times, requesting to fight 1:1 by that time (the language of gangsta). I firmly rejected that idea, said we're both adult and shouldn't do that nonsense just for the turn, also reminded him pointing to people's eyes is rude. He dared me to keep on "arguing" cause he got plenty of time. I rejected again with without fear, not even a shiver in my legs and went strait to the gym's private inbox to report him.

I didn't disappointed cause I caught up in that childish threats, I even prepared for those situation at this low-budget gym but it hit real hard once it happened. That mean & harsh critique about my gym etiquette made my spirit hurt so bad, feeling demotivate and down eventhough I knew it was BS.

I also watch a documentary of DW about Body image and male identity this morning. I saw myself in that story of people whom used to be fat, skinny, scrawny and got picked on and looked down alot. Just feel sick to be born as small guy, even with some muscles, I couldn't even give people a sign that they shouldn't mess with easily. Combine with the incident, it hit even harder. I just want to share my story cause I almost have no one to share. Thanks for reading.
