Partitioning and booting advise

Discussion

So, I have a little x-mas project to plan and execute. I have n MS Surface Laptop 3 that runs MacOS (Hackintosh), Linux (Arch/Gnome) and Windows 11 equally well, and I plan to make it a triple boot system.

Currently there is only an 120 GB M2, but I have ordered a 1TB drive so there will be plenty of space. The drive will arrive in a couple of days, so I have time to plan everything.

I have

- 2 partition images (dev/nvme0np1 and p2) of MacOS (EFI and OS, MacP1 and MacP2)

- 2 partition images (same as above) of Arch Linux (EFI and root, ArchP1 and ArchP2)

- 1 disk image of Windows 11

My plan goes something like this

  1. Full disk image restore of the Windows image onto the larger SSD. This will result in 3 Windows partitions (EFI, System and Recovery) if I remember correctly.

  2. Delete the Recovery and move the System partition to the right so I can expand the EFI from the usual 200 MB to 2 GB and make room for OpenCore and Grub.

  3. Copy all files from MacP1 to the Windows EFI.

  4. Create a 110 GB partition and copy in the MacP2 partititon.

  5. Create a 110 GB partition and copy in the ArchP2 into that one.

In a PERFECT world, the EFI and OpenCore should pick up all three bootloaders from /EFI/ in the first partition. I may need to do some black magic with that later on.

Linux and MacOS is already so heavily customized so I dread to reinstall and start over. So what do you think? Is this futile or possible to achieve?
