So... I apparently have big ears

Headphones - Wireless/Portable

So I have been looking for a good new pair of headphones for a while. I aways used in ears, but I really want better ANC and sound quality and so I decided to buy some nice headphones.

I ordered the JBL Tour One M3's online since they had some nice reviews and I own some other JBL products as well. I put them on my head and immediately sent them back. They were extremely uncomfortable for me. I have a big head and always have to put headphones on their biggest setting. And even on that, the JBL's tried to murder my ears.

So I went to a local (Netherlands) store to fit some different headphones and the Sony XM5's were comfortable, looked good and are great quality. So I bought them and was happy with them for a few days. But after wearing them a bit longer, my ears started to hurt. The cup of the headphones isn't very deep and the middle part of the back of my ear started pressing against the inside of the earcup. Both the inside and the backside of it.

Now I can go out and try on 200 other headphones, but it will take a while to find out what will be really comfortable for me.

I want good sound quality, good ANC and not tooooo expensive (4/500 max). But most important, I want headphones that will fit my big head and my apparently big ears comfortably. Any tips are welcome.
