My 16yo friend just got engaged???

As the title says I 16m met this girl online 16f via Minecraft highpixel bedwars. I’ve been really into the game and happy to have another person to game with.

Long story short she just messaged me saying she got engaged to her bf 24m or mabye even older I can’t fully remember. Is this normal now? Anyways it just seems concerning.

And yes I have confirmed this is legit and not some catfish.
