A16 vs Air M3 for a 10-year-old
Help a mom out - bought my daughter (10) the iPad A16 for Xmas, but I'm now second-guessing. She currently has my old iPad (from 2019, and it's 32 GB - that I won), but she keeps having to offload drawing apps due to space issues. She loves to draw and create, and will sit for hours using drawing apps, so I plan to get her ProCreate. I also got her the USB-C Pencil to go with it. She's also quite techy (COVID kid who had to deal with online school when she was five, so she's awesome on computers, and is into gaming, but has a PC for gaming. The iPad would be used for chatting with friends (Messenger Kids), YouTube, and drawing/creating.
The M3 is $300 more than the A16 (plus 13% tax). For a 10-year-old aspiring artist, is the A16 more than enough for her (it will already be miles above what she has)? I'm trying to enhance her skills without breaking the bank, as she's 10, with ADHD (combined), so there is a chance it could be dropped (I have already purchased AppleCare LOL). The iPad is being bought with a small inheritance I received when my father (her grandfather) passed away a month ago - and is being given as a joint gift from him and me - as it would make him happy to see her building her artist skills.
Will she be okay with the A16? Or will she run into issues? She's not at the point where she's using insane amounts of layers or anything elaborate in her drawings, but she's never really had the tech that enabled her to.
