When people criticize something in a movie and ppl respond “that was the point”

Ok? Doesnt matter, it still wasnt effective.

Like for example i saw someone say how wicked for good didnt utilize dorothy very well and then the comments are all like “that was the point” so what? It can still be a valid critique
