Too old to change careers at 40? Looking for real advice.

I’m in my early 40s, and I’ve been working in the same office, same desk, same role in the marketing department for a little over 10 years. Lately, it’s really started to hit me how burned out I am. I’m tired of seeing the same faces every day, nothing ever changes, and there’s zero chance of moving up. It feels like I’m just… stuck.

I’ve been thinking a lot about switching careers, and I even found a few interesting openings on a job platform I’ve been browsing. Some friends told me to check out this site at https://www.careerone.com.au/, which I might try, but the truth is: I feel completely out of practice. I haven’t written a tailored résumé in ages, and the idea of going to interviews again honestly freaks me out a little.

Has anyone here made a big career change after 40? How did you start? What helped you get past the fear and actually put yourself out there again? I’d really appreciate any advice or real-life stories.
