I hate anachronisms in dialogues!

Just stopped reading a regency HR that I was rather enjoying because the main characters say "Screw the Pooch"! It was jarring, but I gave the author the benefit of the doubt and looked it up. Maybe I was not informed of the 19th century origin of this phrase. Turns out, it was first said in a movie in the 1980s!

This is the kind of thi g that takes me out of the story. Am I the only one?
