Barty Crouch Jnr and Snr

This is something that has always bothered me. Barty Crouch Jnr said he killed his father on Hogwarts grounds, turned him into a human thigh bone and buried him in the grounds near Hagrid’s hut. Did anyone go and find him, dig him up and give him a proper burial? Wouldn’t finding him/ the bone corroborate Harry’s story about what Crouch Jnr told him before he was given the Dementor’s Kiss? Or is Barty Crouch Snr just chilling as a thigh bone forever?
