So when got into my late twenties-early thirties I kinda lost some of my gaming skills(not great to begin with, heh) and difficult games became to much for me in terms of time consumption and recall patience needed.
But then I got myself a deck, and started to play my favorite games. Doom Eternal is particularly beloved by me, and I have beat multiple it times, but these Ancient Gods DLCs were so frustrating and difficult, so I never managed to finish them. So I brought deck with me on my flight to Moscow, roughly 3 hours, and to my shock actually finished the second one, because it was so focusing and comfortable (also I kinda wanted to perform because my neighbors were fully immersed in my screen, hah). So I started to tackle some other games, that were too difficult for me, and because I could easily put down deck at any given moment and not get frustrated, and as easily pick it up for couple of tries I started to succeed. I guess something about playing on huge tv, fully plugged in, in headphones raised stakes for me and got me easily frustrated, and with deck it just disappeared.
So just yesterday I did a thing, I thought wouldn’t be possible in a million years, I finished Silksong with 3rd Act! And yeah it took me like 100 hours, but still I really enjoyed the experience! It just wouldn’t be possible on my ps5. So deck kinda opened to me this part of gaining I thought lost for my, what an unexpected thing from handheld!

SteamDeck got me into difficult games again!
