Scared about left-sided chest pain!
I am 39F, and my current medications are escitalopram (for anxiety), and amlodipine, lisinopril and nebivolol (for hypertension). In case this is relevant - I had a right sided sore throat with right ear pain yesterday, but I would say I have recovered about 95%.
A few times yesterday I got a quick twinge of pain in my left chest & left armpit, only lasting for about a second at a time (a squeezing sensation, but very quick). It is happening more frequently today and I am getting a bit freaked out. I have also gotten pretty lightheaded/dizzy a few times, although I am sensitive to changes in weather and I had a migraine with aura yesterday, so that could explain the dizziness.
But the chest pains are scaring me. I am out of shape and overweight, but I also have health anxiety, so I have had 3 chest X-rays, 4 troponin tests, and 8 EKGs in 2025. Other than a few minor abnormalities on a few of the EKGs (nothing that the doctors have been considered about), all testing has come back fine. In addition, I am currently being evaluated for IBS and GERD (due to digestive issues and a tickle in my throat that leads to coughing and vomiting). I could go to the hospital, but I have already been there so many times recently.
Considering my history, symptoms, and all of the recent testing, should I be worried?
