Gift ideas?

I am looking for suggestions for craft type gifts for 2 different people.

First, my step mom, who loves to crochet. I’m wondering if there’s a yarn subscription box, or something to that effect? Any ideas?

Secondly, the doctor that I work with. He’s a very no-nonsense Muslim man. He loves homemade gifts, prefers them to store bought gifts. Last year I burned a cutting board with an Islam phrase (his first language). I’m wondering what suggestions people might have this year, as I can’t think of anything! I’m a crafter, so most things are achievable. I don’t knit/crochet/sew. Otherwise, I’m pretty good at most things!
