Just finished DS1 for the first time. Wanting some tips for NG+

As the title says. The feeling of accomplishment was absolute. I'm a fan of the saga but I was never able to finish the game, not because the bosses are top difficult but because the distances from some bonfires to them are sometimes ridiculous, and I had been stuck against Seath for a long time until I realized it was more about being patient than anything else.

Anyway, now I'm starting my NG+ with my heavy build (Havel armor, etc.), but I feel like changing my build a bit so it's not so repetitive. I know the game doesn't have a respec option, so what do you recommend for me? My idea is to go for 100% this time or at least attempt it. Or would it be better to just start a new playthrough? What do you recommend?
