Looking for Women advice on Wife and Coworker
Looking for advice from women please, and their thoughts on being "good friends" with men.
My wife (48f) of 25 years appears to be very close to a male coworker. They message each other almost every weekday on Teams and by text, and sometimes on weekends. Sometimes they go for breakfast just the two of them, and have hung out in other ways sometimes with coworkers and sometimes just them. They have been like this for 10 years, but seem to be in more contact recently.
She seems to be very open about it. They went to a work conference recently with other coworkers and spent some time outside of the conference together (drinks, etc), at times just the two of them. They texted each other the whole week almost constantly updating each other where they were and teasing each other. One of the nights were drunk texts, with the man repeatedly asking her to join where he was at the time. Another night was her being upset with him because he bailed on something they had planned, and him apologizing profusely.
I am however 100% certain nothing physical has happened. She has told him that she has never had feelings "like that" for him (but of course you would say this since everyone is married, right?)
He has given her small gifts like a small stuffy, and she gave him shorts one time when they didn't fit our son (they would not have fit me).
He's married too, but I've a feeling he is into her, because I know most men since I am one.
Is it different for women? Can women truly be "just friends" like this?
