Sole and heel edge dressing
this is one of those oft-neglected parts of my footwear maintenance. I had an annoying experience with a department store sole dressing dispenser, little bottle with a sponge-like thing at the top, because it totally dried out and became useless long before it should have.
a few months ago, bought a bottle of Fiebing's edge dressing. apart from being kind of messy, the little cotton ball has a tendency to drip, and that you have to be careful to only paint the sole, not the leather, it's easy to apply, looks great, and with all that liquid, a lot less likely to dry out. highly recommended.
