PS2 Slim won't play Venture Bros Season One on DVD

Hey y'all I recently got into collecting physical media and have been using my ps2 slim to play dvds on my crt tv, but for some reason it refuses to read the Venture Bros season one dvd. The disk is pefrectly clean and can be read on my ps5 with no issues & was previously tested by the shop i got it from before purchase. My ps2 slim however reads all of my other dvds perfectly fine. So im just wondering is it a case of an outdated format change in dvd's im unaware of?

Bonus pic of my set up pls rate + give any feedback :)
