Pvt Ltd company fining me for non completion of corporate training
I work for an MNC in their Indian office as a full-time employee. After resigning last week, I was informed that while my performance bonus will be credited, the company would be deducting a penalty for non compliance of mandatory online trainings that I had not completed on time back in May.
In addition the company also informed me that since the performance bonus amount wasn't enough to cover up the penalty amount(4500 usd), they will be deducting the delta amount (~50k INR) from my full and final settlement.
I'm not a labor law expert here so I'm not sure if this shit would be legally accepted under our wages act.
Any lawyers who specialize in corporate/ labor law here? Is this justifiable on the company's part?
TL:DR- Got fined 4500 usd for non completion of some random internal training, and company has decided to deduct the performance bonus and remaining amount from the salary.
And advice on what I should do?
