Want to break into tech management and planning - is MBA the right path?

I have a 8/7/7 from India plus a master's degree from the UK in aerospace, 2.5 years of work ex in India and 4 years in the UK. Planning to move back to India next year to be close to family. I'm 30. I really want to move towards the planning and business side of things, having seen how tech is run in Europe and India. Would an MBA be worth it to break into management given my experience (and also would it be possible to get a tier-1 college given my profile) or are there more routes I could look at?
