Having a friend MC/DJ our wedding, best way to set him up?

Hi everyone! For our Sep 2026 wedding, we’ve been very fortunate to have a friend offer his help mc/dj-ing our wedding. He does not have much experience and is limited with his equipment, but we are having a small ceremony & reception so we think it will work well. My question is how we can best set him up for a smooth experience. My thought was making our ceremony track (like splicing together the song chunks with times & instructions), and for the reception just having a playlist with specific songs listed for the dances & other special moments. I’ve used CapCut many times and am familiar with splicing audios. But does anyone have a strategy/programs that have worked well for y’all? TIA!
