Is it Lawful for a Corporation to "sell tickets" to its corpprate meetings? What does the law require.

Work with a small team and someone on oue team floated the idea of selling tickets to an upcoming board meeting in order to drum up interest in our company

From my understanding, not only would we not need to open our meetings to the public, but that we would be forbidden from inviting anyone who isnt a board nember/shareholder.

Could we set something else up for interested parties? Whats "legal" for us to do?
