AITAH for leaving my gf at the beach??

ok so this happened like 2 days ago and i still feel weird about it so idk just wanna hear what ppl think

my girlfriend invited me to hang out w her friends at the beach. ive met them before and its always kinda whatever lol like they’re loud and “sarcastic” all the time but i usually just deal with it

anyway we’re sitting there and one of her friends (lina) starts saying stuff like “omg how do u even eat” and “ur so skinny its insane” but not like compliments more like… snarky?? then another one jumps in and they start doing that thing where they just keep going cuz everyone laughs

my gf just kinda smiled like she didnt know what to do but she also didnt say anything so i just sat there wishing i could sink into the sand

then lina literally poked my hip and was like “bro how do u not blow away in the wind” and everyone laughed again and i just felt super stupid and exposed and honestly kinda upset

so i just got up and said i was gonna walk a bit but i ended up just leaving completely and texted my gf that i didnt feel ok and was heading home

now shes mad at me saying i “made it awkward” and i shouldve told her so she could step in but she was RIGHT THERE dude like she heard all of it and didnt say anything then

she says i overreacted and embarrassed her but honestly i just didnt wanna sit there and be their joke anymore

so yeah idk AITAH for leaving instead of “talking about it” in the moment
